Victoria Galasso finished her undergraduate career at Boston College with a degree in Sociology and Education. She graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Betta Kappa Honor Society in 2011. Since her early childhood she dreamed of making a positive difference in the lives of those around her. The search for an outlet to do so led her to the realization that what she needed to make a difference and make others happy she already had at her disposal: her ability to laugh and to use humor as a means to connect to heal, to bring levity, and to strengthen. In this book she aims to share her insight on the magical power that laughter has on the mind, body, and spirit and how it can transform our own lives if we let it. Aside from being a published author, Victoria is currently a middle school teacher in the Bronx N.Y. where she uses laughter in the classroom on a daily basis to help motivate her students and educate their minds and hearts alike
John was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Growing up he had always been drawn to comedy and had believed that laughter was the best medicine. He wanted to set out to find evidence to back his claim, and this project conveys his discoveries. While accompanying his friend, legendary comedian, Pat Cooper to many of his shows, John witnessed, firsthand, how laughter has played an important part in the lives of so many. During this time, he gained perspective on the comedic world behind the scenes. John produced an independent documentary on laughter. He has also appeared in several films making cameo appearances, in a music video and also a corporate spokesperson. Hohn is a contributing editor for Back in the Bronx Magazine. Today, John still lives in the Bronx and is in the process of developing other projects as well.
